They’re Finished!
At last the panels are finished!
My insulation panels are now all in place on the ceiling of my bedroom and also that of my son. It’s taken around three weeks and I’m exhausted but they’re done! Every individual piece had to be measured and cut to size.
The next stage is attaching pvc to the ceiling to stop any condensation forming in the wrong places then, all I have to do is wait for the ceiling man, as I call him, to be ready.

The ceiling man will fix a plasterboard ceiling, which I’ll finish by painting it white. I miss my cotto ceiling but it will be brighter and so much warmer (it’s warmer already!).
My son’s ceiling was dark wood so his room’s going to be amazing. It should be a total transformation. I also want to treat his beams to feed them and make them look richer and more cared for. I may even go in for a new and simpler light fitting!

After I finished the panelling, I decided to clear out some old clothes and to pack up my summer things. The weather has changed and is much cooler as we approach winter.
My new rooms are going to be a sort of new start so I want to clear out the old and unclutter. It’s very liberating. I filled a bag and a half to be recycled! I’d wanted to tidy my studio. I did enough to make it feel inspiring, so, tomorrow, I’m hoping to get in there and do a bit of painting. Woohoo!
