The Joy of Spinning Yarn on My Balcony in the Summer
There’s something incredibly soothing about sitting on my balcony on a warm summer day, spinning yarn. As the gentle breeze brushes against my face and the sun casts a warm glow, I breathe in the scents of this beautiful place that I call home and I find myself completely immersed in this ancient craft.
Spinning yarn is not just a hobby for me; it’s a form of relaxation and meditation. The rhythmic motion of the spinning wheel, the soft sound of nature all around me, and the satisfaction of creating something beautiful with my own hands, all contribute to a sense of calm and contentment.
During the summer months, I take advantage of the longer days and pleasant weather to indulge myself even more, in this relaxing activity. I set up my spinning wheel on the balcony, surrounded by my potted flowers and the uplifting song of the birds. The natural light illuminates the my fibre, making the whole process even more magical.
As I spin, I can feel my stress and worries just melt away. It’s as if time slows right down, allowing me to fully embrace the present moment. Each strand of yarn I create carries a piece of my energy and intention, making it truly unique.
Spinning yarn on my balcony also provides a wonderful opportunity for connection. People passing by often stop to watch and ask questions which sparks conversations about the art of spinning and the joy of creating. It’s a chance to share my passion with others and inspire them to explore their own creative pursuits.
