Spring Is In The Air

Well I never, it’s been a long time since I last posted.

Sanremo, our challenge that is, went well, then badly. I was winning, then second, then, last! My team didn’t high five enough or do the point earning things!

I’ve been spinning in the sun. The weather has really perked up and we have even been eating on the balcony. I did spend some time giving it a pre-spring tidy. The highlight of my week saw spinning in the sun on the balcony. I got that feeling that spring is coming and I love that change of season. My thoughts have turned towards the garden although my physical efforts are lacking at the moment.

I’ve finished painting my room and I have started my son’s room. He wants it all white so I’ll make over some of his furniture and give it a lick of non-white paint!

My aim is to get most of it finished before he’s back in a week and a half for my daughter’s birthday. It’s already looking fresh and clean and I’ve only done two of the walls and no ceiling yet.

My hands are so sore from the diy. I have quite sensitive skin on my hands and it doesn’t take much to set off an allergy and dryness. I use some olive oil with a drop or two of lavender essential oil for my finger tips which seem to suffer the most. For the rest, I just slap on some rich hand cream and wait for it to do its work.

This week saw a visit to the vet with one of our cats. He has a weakness in his waterworks and had cystitis. Poor chap. As with all things here, we got a discount if we paid in cash. As we didn’t have any cash on us, we were told that we could come the next morning if that worked out. It did, so we got a discount which is just as well since his medicine cost a small fortune. He’s picking up a bit now and since he’s a young cat, he should be fine.

Next week sees the start of birthday preparations. We’re doing something special. I can’t let you know until afterwards, just in case my daughter finds out and the surprise if ruined.
