Pizza

I haven’t posted for a couple of days.

Two pizzas this weekend and very good they were too!

We had our usual pizza night on Friday followed by a relaxing family in together night. Saturday saw a relaxing day. I managed to do some spinning and moved forwards with my knitting project. The skin on my fingers has been dry lately. Mainly, I think, because of my diy work around the house, but also because of the cooling weather as we approach winter. I have quite sensitive skin on my hands. I did an olive oil with lavender essential oil, soak for a few minutes. It works wonders for my nails and finger tips.

Saturday evening was a lovely pizza with a friend who I haven’t seen for over three months. We both tend to get busy with life and family and before we know it, loads of time has passed by. I went to a pizzeria in a nearby town. A place that I hadn’t been to before. I like discovering new places. The minute we walked in, I knew that I liked the atmosphere and the pizza was very tasty. The only negative was that they didn’t have any non-alcoholic beer, which I like very much. Not a big thing but I’d have liked to have been able to have one.

My pizza was an “Ortolana” consisting of veg. courgettes, aubergines, tomatoes etc. It was delicious and the crust was puffy and light. There was a good choice on the menu. I eat a mostly vegetarian diet. No meat whatsoever and very occasionally fish, but not often so my pizza wad perfect as I didn’t want to eat fish that night. No pudding though, we are healthy eating people and so we just opted for a coffee to finish off our meal.

It was good to catch up with my friend and we’ve vowed not to leave it so long again. We’re off out in a couple of weeks to a very arty and atmospheric place so watch this space for more.

Today I did a lot of organising and clearing to make sure that there is room for the windows guys to install my new windows. It should be this week and I’m starting to get excited. It could have been tomorrow but I’ve been updated this evening and it will be nearer the end of the week. Temperatures are due to drop quite drastically in a few days but I don’t think they’ll be in by then. It won’t be long though before I’m lovely and cozy ready for the really cold part of the winter.
