Wow I haven’t posted for a couple of days.

I spent Sunday, the day after my pizza, clearing room and cleaning ready for the windows guys who were supposed to be coming to install my windows. I wanted them to have enough room and also to minimise the clearing up afterwards.

All done but I didn’t have time for fun things like painting or my music.

Monday came. My family loves Christmas, yes I know it’s only November but we have a special store nearby which specialises in Christmas goods, so we pottered along to see what they had.

Well we were greeted by lots of sparkles and twinkly lights. I used to go to the grotto in the UK as a child but I think this would have beaten it hands down for sparkle and magic.

I took some video footage which will be part of a video in the next week or so.

Some of the prices were good but others expensive. We bought some artificial long, green pine type garland to which we are going to add some pine cones once we’ve collected them from our local woods. Also we want to add bows and berries!

We are going to have a big craftin session in my studio very soon to get everything done.

Tuesday saw me going to see friends for supper and a website update. I should have it finished soon. We had a lovely evening of chit chat and laughter as well as a tasty aubergine bake!

Today, I’d decided to have a relaxing time. I made a tasty smoked tofu and leek fried rice for lunch and after work I decided to get on with my painting. My children’s book illustrations are coming on but I need to do quite a few! I had been aiming to get everything finished in time for Christmas sales but I don’t want to rush under pressure and spoil my pictures. I had a lovely afternoon. I always feel energised but relaxed when I paint.

My evening was spent with my daughters, reliving their youth and rewatching the Harry Potter films. It’s a trip down memory lane for me too. I took the opportunity to do some wool spinning while I watched!
