IKEA Trip
I went on a trip to IKEA today after work today. I needed a blind for my son’s room and I wanted to look at some festive things and get ideas for our Christmas home.
My daughter was in a festive mood so we went together. We normally have our lunch there so we don’t lose any time in shopping. Imagine our disappointment when just, literally just, as we arrived, they seemed to be closing as one of the ladies there was pulling a barrier accross the entrance. We hastily decided that the cafe would do today and went back down the stairs for a new experience.
It wasn’t bad, a vegetarian hotdog with trimmings, (onions, mustard) and a bottle of fizzy water for around 3.50 euros was fine. We had some fruit juice and there was free natural water on tap.
We didn’t have coffee or a pudding, but we like to go for a cake and drink after we finish shopping before we go home.
I bought a few festive goodies which I’ll post over the next few days and all in all we had a good day. What ever you think of IKEA, I love the shop. I always get ideas and it’s allowed me to do some things in my home at a great price which has made a real difference.
At the end of our shopping we decided to go up to the restaurant for our cake, well, the bar attached to it. We both had cheesecake. We normally enjoy an aperativo with a cake but as it’s winter we were very tempted by, yet another, hot chocolate. As I’m trying to be good, I didn’t have whipped cream on the top of mine. My halo is gleeming!
