Another Friday arrives and was fairly non-eventful. It’s just as well because our winter wood arrives tomorrow. Well, half of it.

Our cellars don’t have enough space for all of our winter wood so we get it in two, occasionally three deliveries. We are getting a tractor load tomorrow after lunch. We will have to put it all away. We have a family team and so I’m hoping that it will only take us a couple of hours.

It’s great exercise and we’re normally a bit achy the next day. The one thing we’re worried about is if the rain comes and the wood gets wet which can cause it to become a bit mouldy or mildewy. I have a big plastic sheet on hand in case we have to abandon the wood pile as it will have to be kept nice and dry.

I’m off to bed now, early night so that I have enough energy to put our wood in order. We had, as the title suggests, our family pizza night which was as fun as ever.

I’m feeling frustrated because I haven’t been able to fit any painting or music practice in this week so I really need to organise better over the weekend and next week.
