Sometimes there are good days and other times not so good.

I was lucky to get time for more studio painting. Today was a not so good day painting though. I wanted to try a traditional, more nature inspired wizzardy, Santa for old fashioned Christmas cards.

Now, bear in mind, I’m not finished yet. I don’t want to overwork the piece and I need to put in a background. I won’t say what I’m not happy with but I hope I can put it right.

It still needs work, right? Hopefully I’ll get time to work on it tomorrow afternoon. I’m too fussy and faffy. I with this one, I need to make it more unreal. I always add too much. I’ve tried to hold back.

Other than that, I had a fairly normal day. The second fire of the season was lit this evening as it was a bit chilly. I had good news from my friend about the new windows. They should be done by next Friday. The glass supplier has changed his machinery so we can blame him for the delay.

The carpenter has reduced his price to make me a door, so he’s making me one now because it is substantially cheaper and I couldn’t really find one that I liked, so thank you Universe!
