The annual Puccini Festival at Torre del Lago is one of the most important cultural events in Tuscany, Italy. It is the only Festival in the world dedicated to the composer, Giacomo Puccini and it takes place every July and August in Torre Del Lago, the place that inspired his well loved music. The Puccini festival began in 1930 and over the years it has become more and more important as a cultural event. Puccini’s works are performed in a large open air theatre on the lake, surrounded by trees and greenery, in front of Puccini’s House and museum.
